Draw the graph of all of the hormones involved in the female menstrual cycle. Using this graph, describe what is occurring during the ovarian cycle and the uterine (menstrual cycle). Some things to consider in your description include
LH the leuteinizing hormone is necessary for the ovulation and formation of the corpus luteum. It reaches its peak at the day of the ovulation promoting the ovulation.its produced by anterior pituitary.
FSH the follicles stimulating hormone is necessary for the maturation of the ovum. This acts in the ovary after the menses and leads to the increase in level in the blood. The level drains after ovulation. Formed from the anterior pituitary.
Estradiol is the natural estrogen is an ovarian hormone that initially acts and reach the peak at the day before ovulation. In this the estradiol acts to promote the thickening if endometrium for the embryo to attach. But when this level is droped the menses occurs.
Progesterone is another ovarian hormone it reaches its peak after ovulation. Soon after ovulation the corpus listen stert to produce the hormone. The hormone then acts on the endometrium to thicken it so that the embryo can attach. If not so the level drops and then the menses start. These inhibits the LH and FSH level reaching peaks after ovulation.
