Aerobic power is the ability of the muscles to use oxygen received form the heart and lungs to produce energy. Aerobic power is usually monitored and tested using VO2 max.
Maximal aerobic power (VO2)s the highest peak oxygen uptake that an individual can obtain during dynamic exercise using large muscle groups
The repeated measurements of maximal aerobic power show a fairly low variation from day to day due to some particular factors like
Factors for VO2 max determinants are
The main factor associate with VO2 max. determinant is the oxygen content of arterial blood. If the oxygen content of the arterial blood is increased the maximal aerobic power and physical performance is increased. If it is decreased--except when there is an acute volume expansion--or if the heart rate is depressed the circulation can not compensate for it and the maximal aerobic power is decreased.
