Critically analyze the difference and the point of convergence between floor inspection and
functional inspection

Please provide a detailed explanation

Solutions

Expert Solution

The similarity between Floor and Function Inspection is that these both methods are used to remove and detect the faulty raw materials before the same undergoes in the production. The quality is the main focus for both the methods, where standards are checked and analysed to make sure the activity is going right.

The difference between the two is that the systen in Floor Inspection checks the material in orocess doe the machine or at the production time to make sure every machine or the floor is working efffectively. This is to make shre the material handling costs doesn't go out or hand and defect could be located easily.

On the other hand, the Functional inspection would have the main function checked up which the product is expected to perform. For example, the electic motor could be checked up if the same is having the right speed and performance. It doesn't tell about the variation in all parts but gives us an overall picture of the satisfaction being derived by inspecting the same product.
