Use or loose it this term can widely applicable to the cognitve health. We have to use our cognition or brain in order to function smoothly, in order to experience great, stress free, without any emotional turbulance life, we need to use our conscious, if we disregard it every time then we may not be on the good track of life. Hence it is important to laugh, to smile, to share with friends, to be positive in order to overcome grief, depression, anxiety etc.

I guess grandparents day, where the youngsters go in old age homes and celebrate with the, at the same time celebrating anybody's birthday in old age homes as well as some festivals can fill up the void. These days many musical concerts, charity funds shows are conducted in order to support old age people. Hence only money will not fill any gap or void but instead celebrating with them at the same free awarness programmes of health education would also give old people motivation.
