An electric bulb is connected to a 220V power supply line, if the bulb draws a current of 0.5A, calculate the power of the bulb.
The formula for electric power is given by
P = VI
where,
P is the power
V is the potential difference in the circuit
I is the electric current
Given-
V = 220V
I = 0.5A
To Find out-
We have to determine the power of the bulb
P =?
Solution
P = VI
P= 220 x 0.5 A
P = 110 watt
The power of the bulb is 110 watt
