SOLUTION:-

In the film True Justice what did Bryan Stevenson's grandmother mean when she told him to listen in that cabin she took him to? Listen for what? What did she mean when she told him that he DID hear something?

* Bryan Stevenson's grandmother meant the anguished cries of the slaves who were brought in from Africa, even until 1865.

* Slaves were housed in shacks with no light or ventilation. They were treated brutally by their white lords, and whipping and rape by whites on them was quite common.

* They were brought in to work on the cotton plantations of Alabama. When she said he DID hear something she meant to reiterate the agony of those slaves.

What was the smell Ray Hinton describes on Death Row?

* Ray Hinton describes the smell of burnt bodies after an electrocution in Death Row.

* It refers also to the sorrow felt when one of the inmates who was with you just a few days back isn't there anymore because he is dead, taken away by the prison guards and executed.

What does Equal Justice Initiative do exactly?

* EJI, Equal Justice Innitiative, aids those who have been illegally convicted and are incarcerated by giving them legal representation.

* It challenges death penalty and disproportionate punishment. It also assists in rehabilitating incarcerated people.

* It fights against racial discrimination and injustice against the marginalized communities multi dimensionally.

* It helps all those involved with fighting injustices against such people with empirical research.

Do you think we need organizations like Black Lives Matter> Why or why not?

* Yes, as long as there is discrimination and prejudice we need organizations such as Black Lives Matter.

* Not all people who are suppressed have the guts and gumption to protest, to speak up, that is why.

* There are also the infirm, the vulnerable and all part of the society and need to be "included."
