1. We recognize the gravity of the public health problems afflicting many developing and least-developed countries, especially those resulting from HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other epidemics.
True
Public health has been an important initiative to control and or prevent the epidemic situation in the countries. Public health is in a good state in terms of resources, R&D and knowledge in developed countries, but the same cannot be said about the developing or least developed nations. These nations have public health institutions in place, but these institutions lack resources to implement the plan required to save people from epidemic diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. It also becomes difficult to spread the awareness among the people and situation becomes more grave. It is the reason that contagious diseases spread very fast and become an epidemic situation in these countries. It makes imperative for the world organizations to support these public health system in developing or least developed nations to take the right steps to eradicate the diseases progressively. It should be done by building proper health infrastructure, financial support and providing necessary research support to control these diseases. It will make a better service to the mankind using robust public health mechanism.
