The Texas Medical Association is a professional nonprofit organization representing over 53,000 physicians, residents, medical student and alliance members. It is located in Austin, has 110 component county medical societies around the state, and is the largest state medical society in the United States.(source). Whereas Common Cause is a watchdog group based in Washington, D.C. It is Sometimes identified as liberal-leaning,and Common Cause has also been identified as nonpartisan and advocates government reform.

The reason behind they tends to be less powerful because it is easier to lobby weak chief executive. Also,Common Cause is solutions-oriented.
