In today's era of globalization, big businesses with an unlimited access to wealth have managed to gain political influence and thus, can change laws to benefit them. The business strive to influence Indian government decisions due to several reasons such as tax avoidance, tax reduction, privatization, pollution and many more. Businesses influences government through lobbying, campaign funding, and regulatory agencies. Big businesses donate money for campaigning to political parties in India for return for policy favors. Lobbying assists big business by manipulating the decisions on Indian government with use of specialized and well connected individuals or organizations. They help them to manipulate legislative policies and make decisions which are in support of their business.
