The main reason for having such a huge number of denominations is the culture. The world has a large variety of culture and as the religion of Christianity spread around the globe similar to some of the other religions, the religion became morphed and some of the elements of the religion were absorbed into other religion.
• The other important reason behind this can be seen as the separation of Church of Rome from the early Church and thus establish two churches that are Western and Eastern Church
• The other reason for having so any denominations was originated from King Henry VIII and it was further supported by her daughter Elizabeth I in 1559 in which the Church of England was distinguished from the Church of Rome and thus giving the birth to Anglicanism.

Some of the main themes of Christianity which I can see as still surviving unchanged are crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, the followers of the other religions may attack or question the existence of Jesus, not the earth or they can question of rising of Jesus from the dead. But in Christianity, these are still believed by the followers.

The crucifixion of Jesus and his ensuring death I the definite event which really happened and the followers of the religion believe that he is the son of the God and he was arrested, prosecuted and finally crucified by Pontius Pilate. The central theology of Christianity is revolved around the redemptive suffering of Jesus and his death by crucifixion and it represents the doctrines of salvation and atonement
