There is a solution company that basically were expert in installing this particular HR management system in big retailers. So let's say company X need to install a well-known HR management system at a big retailer’s headquarter. And the solution company have done this install many times, and similar retailers, big retailers before. So the question is, what model will fit best in this situation?

And they want to automate their processes, and with the healthcare industry, where the healthcare industry is going, this is pretty common, is that hospitals want to automate so that they can reduce their costs. So let's say a hospital wanted to automate their processes. And so they have hired a company that is expert in this area and has done similar automation for hospitals but not at this scale, so they have done it, but not at this scale. And then hospital management also want consistency across the globe. So they want their processes to be consistent across the globe, but of course, every country has their own culture. And so they know that they'll be some new answers in different part of the world, so they want to customize it over different places. And then they also realize that some of the places will greatly benefit from immediately deploying this kind of automation. Let's analyze what model will fit this situation.

  • The company has prior experience in installing the same system. That means the requirements are well understood as well as the technology is well understood too.
  • Also there are no ambigous requirements .
  • The product defination is also stable.

These are some of the reasons to choose Waterfall Model. As aterfall model provides these features.

Scenario 2:

The model that can be used here is Iterative Model.

Reason: The reasons behind choosing this model are:

  • The requirements are stable and known. The major requirements are known however some requirements can change from time to time.
  • As results are obtained early using this model , it will be really helpful as early deployment is a requirement in this project.
  • Also in each iteration it will be easier to make the software consistent across the world.

As iterative model provides these features , the iterative model is suitable for this.

Scenario 3:

The model that can be used here is Spiral Model.

Reason: The reasons behind choosing this model are:

  • High-risk project, as this is a high risk project risk assesment is required,
  • Also this is a built from scratch product thar does not exist
  • requirements are not fixed and may change during the development phase,
  • Also this is a long term project

All these reasons make it suitable to choose Spiral Model. As spiral model offers all these characteristics.
