Admittedly, countries in transition from authoritarianism to democracy could sometimes show signs of system breakdown. Are these signs and the problems that emerge in these countries part of “normal” politics? Can a clear distinction be made between “normal” politics and system breakdown?
Authoritarianism is a kind of government where it imposes the advocacy of strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom or we can say it a dictatorship, on the other hand democracy is the system of government where people chose their own representatives, they have the freedom to participate in government activities and they have their own rights and duties which has been prescribed by the countries constitution. The country which are in transaction from a authotiarian government to a democratic government faces a system breakdown and yes the signs and problems that emerges in this countries are a part of normal politics because as a consequence of change in the form of government and authority new system has to be made by changing the old once.
Yes a clear distinction can be made in between normal politics and system breakdown, normal politics means continueing the previously assigned system of government where everybody knows the rules and regulations, they work accordingly so that the objective can be achieved. And a system breakdown means breaking or rejecting the old system and implementing new laws, rules and regulations for the betterment of the society.and the normal politics is already accepted by the peoples but after a system breakdown peoples are yet to accept the new system.
