The top eBay competitor is Amazon.com incorporation, these two are the biggest two e-Commerce companies in the United States. Amazon supplies or provides an Internet Operating System (IOS) as an end to end solution, while eBay platform still Android or Windows platform. The platform inclines or tends to provide greater and larger diversity and in the case of e-Commerce, the platform perspective and approach could also have a price advantage. End-to-end solutions like Amazon’s tends to provide greater and more convenience and better user experience. Amazon employs centralized which allows the convenience of shopping in one place while eBay employs decentralized e-Commerce, with a larger number and majority of the products flowing through small to medium retailers.
Amazon and eBay also differ in terms of ancillary services for business, pricing and business models, and services for sellers. eBay is an auction house, and the company straightforwardly facilitates the sale of goods between buyers and third -party sellers. Buyers visit the website to search for products they want to buy from a broad array and wide variety of individual sellers and then bid on items through individual auctions. Contrary, Amazon is a direct provider of goods, and customers visiting its site view products that Amazon maintains as inventory in its huge network of warehouses. For some of the products, Amazon allows third-party sellers to offer purchase options to buyers, but the company keeps most of its product.
