For EMG measurement technique come up with something you could measure with EMG MEASUREMENT that could be meaningful and help people for some reason. Consider what challenges you may face and what you might expect to see. EMG MEASUREMENT ON weight LIFTINGtING OR FOR REHABLITAION

  • What would you measure?
  • Why would this help people?
  • What kinds of challenges would you encounter?
  • What would you expect to find?

Electromyography (EMG) , the presence of electric potential differences in muscles is the result of motor unit action potentials produced by the central nervous system (CNS) .These electric potential differences can be measured using EMG and reported as an EMG amplitude.

EMG measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities.

EMG results are often necessary to help diagnose or rule out a number of conditions such as muscle disorders , muscular dystrophy , diseases affecting the connection between the nerve and muscle such as myasthenia graves.

Challenges encountered during EMG Recordings of electrical activity of muscles can be contaminated by interference from the electrical supply , mechanical artifacts , stimulus artifacts and activity of other muscles.

Expect to find in EMG are An abnormal EMG shows in two ways , first the muscle may show electrical activity at rest . And in the second one , the muscle may show abnormal electrical activity during contraction. This shows up an abnormal action potential pattern with changes in size or shape of the wave. Together EMG can spot disorders of nerves , muscles or both . EMG may be done to find the cause of symptoms such as muscle weakness , deformity , stiffness and shrinkage.

Come up with a unique example of something that could be tested with a single-sample z-test and conduct the confidence interval and effect size calculations. Be creative! a) Provide your example scenario for a single-sample z-test that includes the population mean, population standard deviation, sample size, and sample mean. Do not only present the numbers; you need a reasonable example of something that could be tested with a single-sample z-test. b) Explain why your example is appropriate for a single-sample...

The manager of a travel agency asked you to come up with a forecasting technique that will best fit to the actual demand for packaged tours. You have observed and recorded the actual demand for the last 10 periods. You also identified two possible techniques for consideration: 2-month moving averages (F1), and exponential smoothing (F2) with a smoothing constant of 0.40. Using Cumulative Forecasting Error (CFE) and Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) as your performance measures you will determine the technique...

come up with a study (something you are interested in learning more about) that would require the use of an ANOVA and calculation of the f-statistic. What I'm lookin' for here is that you would be able to identify a study that would require this statistical procedure vs. the procedures we've learned previously (t and z). Walk us through the steps in the process of calculating the f-stat

GDP is very widely used throughout the world as a measure of Economic health. Come up with your own example, either real or a scenario, that shows a flaw with using GDP as the only indicator of the well being of a society. To maybe help with an example, think about this question: Is someone who makes $150,000 a year guaranteed to be happier than someone who makes $70,000 a year?
