What is a PICO question related to physical activity levels for adults in the United States?
Can this be used as a good PICO question for research?
In adults in the United States, to what extent do the physical activity interventions assist adults compared with no intervention?
PICO is a format for formulating a research question in evidence based practice. Components include Population, Intervention,Comparison and Outcome.
Population refers to individual patient or group of patients here it is adults in US
Intervention means a treatment . In this questiion it is physical activty.
Comparison means a comparison inttervention. It can be standard care or no intervention.
Outcome is the expected result of intervention or the dependent variable.Add an outcome variable such as mental wellbeing, sleep etc.Add any variable of interest to the researcher.
By adding an outcome variable the question can be made better.
