How the transport sector of INDIA could respond to this global
pandemic?
- In INDIA, if you use public transport (which is partially working
right now i.e METRO IS CLOSED) the number of people traveling is
very high due to low fares, So government must ensure proper social
distancing by introducing the rule of limited people per bus or
metros to control the spread of the virus.
- 1 Small Bottle of Sanitizer to be carried by every passenger
traveling in-cab, bus, train, or plain to keep the hands clean of
the virus.
- Wearing face masks should get mandatory for every passenger and
should be penalized for not wearing one.
- Sanitization of the vehicle after every day should get
mandatory.
- In the case of E-COMMERCE shipment, every package picked up from
the sellers' warehouse should get sanitized in the platform
warehouse.
- The development of human robots can be done to answer customer
queries without a human to human interaction.
- An increase in payment gateways like Paytm, Phone Pe, etc should
be available to the customer while buying tickets to decrease the
involvement of cash transactions.
- For construction, the raw material and truck must be sanitized
before loading.
- Cab services like UBER, OLA, etc must restrict more than 2
passengers in one cab to minimize the risk of virus.
