1. How could you develop a workplace culture that doesn’t tolerate bullying?
2. Mental health problems often have a negative stigma. What, if anything, do you think companies can do to reduce this stigma?
3. Mental health problems can be caused by many factors outside of the workplace. For example, genetics and family life may predispose or cause mental health difficulties. Nonetheless, these difficulties can show up in the workplace. Does the employer have some responsibility for dealing with these mental health problems? Explain.
1. Bullying is a very dangerous problem being faced at some companies. The management must immediately take action to stop this act as it is taking the lives of many innocent people. Strict rules must be made and the culture of the company must be in such a way that all the employees are treated equally. No employee must misbehave with the other and the consequences if they do not do so must be severe. Any bullying must be immediately punished so that no other employee will repeat it. This helps in developing a workplace culture that does not tolerate bullying.
2. Having employees with mental health problems will definately show impact on the company. The employer must maintain a workplace culture which is adaptable to everyone. When a person enters such workplace they automatically gets cured of their mental illness because they will not get a need to express it. This reduces the pressure inthem and gradually reduces the effect. This can help in reducing the stigma which might come from mental health problems.
3. The employer can also help the employees with mental health problems to reduce them by providing counselling sessions on how to tackle such situations. When they be calm at work and get adapted to the environment they get better even in the outer world. This help from the employer not only changes their life but also helps the company.
