Discuss the influence of the venous system and arterial system on cardiac function
Influence of venous system and arterial system influence on cardiac function:
Venous system is a part of the circulation , In that the veins carry the deoxygenated blood from the peripheral part of the body to the right atrium of the heart. The venous return is very essential to maintain cardiac output. If the venous return increases cardiac output is also increases and the venous return get decreased the cardiac output is also get decreased.
Arterial system is the system that the arteries supplies the rich oxygenated blood to all part of the body from the heart. It also plays a major role in cardiac function. Due to vascular ageing or any conditions like diabetes, hypertension the blood vessels get stiffened it causes increase in the blood pressure against the walls of arteries. It get directly influence in the function of heart. If the blood pressure get increased the blood moves fastly through the arteries and it get prolonged for longer duration the heart function get damaged.
This is how the venous and arterial system influence on the cardiac function.
