Market capitalizarion refers to the total value of the company, It is computed by (Multiplying outstanding share * Share price). So, Any change in Outstanding share or share price will bring the change in the market capitalization.

When the company rings the intial price offer (IPO) the price is set by the company only for the first time at listing after that the price is set by the demand and supply. If the company has good valuation then the price may rise in the share due to the perception of the buyer and vice versa and there are many external factors that may affect the share price.
