1. The author suggests that when more students opt for private schools, it will automatically reduce the funding for public schools. The less the number the worse the facilities the public schools will get. The glamour the private schools pose distract many middle class people opt for private school thinking those schools would provide enough training for their children to clear exams that are conducted for college education. The obvious result will be less funding and closure of the public schools.
2. Some private schools start at a small level and expand rapidly and attract more students and increase fees as they grow thus bringing more trouble to the tax payers because state funded families attract more money if they choose to study in a private school.
3. As the number of private and charter schools increase, the administrative costs increase multi-fold. These schools also hide most of the information related to finances thus not operating transparently. It also paves way to more fraud and abuse of public money.
