A product is defined not only by what it has, but also by what is missing. Think about the product/service components (brand, idea, package, etc.). Give some examples of products in which you believe something is missing or wrong.
Nowadays people are more interested to buy organic products and the marketers have adopted the idea to label their products as organic to gain customer attention. One of the products which made me believe something is wrong is certain beauty products labeled as organic. The beauty products can be prepared from natural ingredients but the standards that need to be followed while labeling beauty products as organic is not clear.
Another product that I feel misleading is the toothpastes like Colgate which claim that their toothpaste contains salt which would make the teeth stronger and whiter. Salt water mouthwash has been used as a remedy for gum swelling and as a natural disinfectant, but too much of salt may affect the enamel. Also the ability of salt to make the tooth strong and whiter is not clear. Hence I believe there is something wrong in the idea of including salt in toothpastes.
Another product I feel to have something missing is Pepsi’s colored variants. In our perception, the color of Pepsi is rich brown color and we do not get the feeling of having our favorite brand when we use the other color variants.
