P(B)=probability that all the machines performed in the same way=n(B)/n=2/8=.25
now we know that two events are mutually exclusive if
P(AB)=P(A)*P(B)
Now AB= {DDD}
n(AB)=no. of cases favourable to the event AB=1
P(AB)=n(AB)/n=1/8
P(A)*P(B)=7/8*2/8=14/64
so P(AB)P(A)*P(B)
so the events A and B are not mutually exclusive.
