The most importance facts of organisms groe and develop

Growth and development of living organisms are not the same things.Growth is increease in size and mass of that organism.

Development involves transformation of the organism as it goes through the growth process.

Every living organisms begins life as a single cell.unicellular organism may stay as one cell but they grow too. Multicellular organisms add more and more cells to form more tissue and organs as they grow.

For an example we should know the development stages of a butterfly

EGG > CATERPILLAR > CHRYSALIS (PUPA) > BUTTER FLY

think of a butterfly for instance.it start off as a cell(egg).then it transforms into a caterpillar, then into a pupa(chrysalis),then pops out as a beautiful butterfly.

Cell growth and development include its repair. As cells grow old, they wear off sometimes they suffer injury and bruises, but they are able to repair themselves by growing new cells in a process called mitosis.

discussed that all living organisms have seven properties in common: (1) they grow and develop, (2) interact/respond to the environment, (3) reproduce, (4) process energy, (5) self-regulate, (6) are ordered/organized, and (7) evolve/adapt. Viruses, however, represent a challenge to this because they do not self regulate or process energy, which has led to many scientists not classifying viruses as living and say they are simply particles. Based on what you know from, should viruses be considered living? There is no...

Biology Unit II Homework - Cancer and Genetics Introduction In order for organisms to grow, repair, maintain, and reproduce, cells undergo cell division. Sometimes, cells uncontrollably divide, resulting in cancer. In the first part of the Cancer and Cell Division Lab, you will learn about normal cell division and will compare it to cell division that occurs in cancer cells. You will then visit a website to find out more information about cancer. You will learn why it occurs, why...
