There is an intense debate whether to provide amnesty to illegal immigrants living in the USA.

Some claim that the USA needs to impose heavy penalties, even jail times to illegal immigrants, to deter it.

Others, including businesses propose less drastic measures and recommend some exceptions, especially for the high skilled illegal immigrants living in the USA. They claim that the USA already invested a lot of resources in this group.

Provide your arguments in fighting illegal immigration. Consider the political, legal, economic and social aspects of this issue.

Answer:
Points that we should consider and follow to fight illegal immigrantion in United States are as follows:

  • Legal Aspect : First of all we need to understand, illegal immigrants overall is an burden for American government. They are utilizing resources and other benefits which ideally a legal citizen of a country should have. Much of the unemployment is being faced by the fellow citizens because of this.
At the same time its not black and white, what can be done is they can be deported to their respective country with a strong message that strict actions can be taken against them if they are caught again. Also imprisonment can be given to those who break law and order of the country.
  • Economic and Social Aspect : If we see economically it has both side many illegal immigrants are utilizing American resources without contributing much to the society. Some are being involved in illegal activites as well, on the other hand few are highly skilled and help in ountry's development. What can be followed here is all should be deported to their respective country, some preferntial tretment can be given to those who are skilled while considering their visa again.
  • Political Aspect : Few political party wants to keep this crowd as they want thses people to vote on their behalf, but politics should not be played on this issue and politician should always think about their country and its well being before thinking about their vote bank and protecting these illegal migrants.
