ADDIE stands for Analyse Design Development Implementation & Evaluation.It is used to build effective training program for better performance. This model has five phases as stated above. Earth ACs Pvt ltd used this model for training and development of its technicians for the new software system with wi-fi enabled technology. Prior knowledge is that technicians knows the AC installation techniques of basic version of AC.
Analyse
Problem : Technicians are unfamiliar with the new software
Audience: AC panel installation team of technicians are the audeience.
Objectives :By the end of this training technicians will be able to setup the installation of new software .
Business Goal : Ecofriendly initiatives .
Delivery : Training on installation of the software by the experts.
Design
The training program was introduced to the technicians making them understand the need for it.
Pre assessment test and post assessment test were conducted.
Training results were evaluated by creating a scenario & computer based test.
The feedback from the technicans were taken by giving them feedback form to get input on the training session.
Question & Answer Session for the technicians was kept in order to clear the doubts.
Development
The programer used the story board to create the computer program for training that included computer based test.
The facilitator guides were invited to instruct the trainer .
Implementation
The training was delivered at the corporate training centre of Earth ACs pvt ltd
Pre-Assessments :-First the pre-assessment was done.
Instuctions : The trainer gave detail instructions on how to install new software into the system, demontrating them on a computer.
Computer training : Computer based exercises were given by the technicians after the instructions.
Implementation
Question & Answer session was kept for the trainees in order to clear the doubts if they had.
Post Assessment : Trainer takes the post assessment test .
Feedback : The feedback was taken in order to measure the training effectiveness.
Evaluate
The team evaluated what was effective and what was not so effective in the process.Then the instructional designer evaluated the training based on the pre & post assessments along with the feedback forms.
