Trainings help in boosting the confidence of the employees and make them prepared to take up additional responsibilities. Trainings can be conducted to provide general skills or specific skills to the employees.

General skills include -Individual development skills like communication skills, interpersonal skills etc.

Specific skills include - On the job training that is required to help the employee improve his/her productivity specific to the work being done in the firm, Skills required to effectively take up additional responsibilities in the firm, Firm specific tools and accelerators etc.

Measuring training effectiveness is critical to understand how effective the training is in developing employee skills thus contributing to the job performance.
