Ans:-
Role of the atp in muscle contraction is as follows:-
ATP binds to myosin causing it to change position and attach to actin and pull that causes muscle contraction . This allows muscle to move.
Or
ATP is responsible for pulling back the myosin head which is ready for another cycle. When ATP binds to the myosin head , it causes cross bridge between actin and myosin to detach. ATP then provides the energy to pull the myosin back by hydrolysing to ADP +Pi and muscle contraction occurs.
Significant of stiffness in someone that is deceased is as follows:-
Stiffness in the deceased is called rigor mortis in which body becomes stiff after death due to the loss of ATP from the body's muscles .
As we know that the ATP is the substance that allows the energy to flow to the muscles and help them to work and without this muscle become stiff and inflexible .
Significant of rigor mortis:-
- With the help of rigor mortis we can find out the timing of death i.e. about what time death is occured.
- It can help us to tell whether body has been moved after death or not.
