The objective of this assignment is to identify and analyse the characteristics of effective organisational structure, to investigate the differences between the organisational structure of a “high performance organisation” and “low performance organisation”, and to analyse the role of leadership in developing and maintaining effective structure in a successful organization. All the information gathered to be transformed into a review paper to reflect understanding as future subject matter expert.
REQUIREMENT:
You are required to use organisational models, theories, concepts and terminologies. Relate the model(s) / theory(s) with practical insights. Use relevant references to support your explanation and argument. Search and select at least ten (10) journal articles and / or books on organisational structure. Use these journal articles and / or books as references for your assignment.

These all are essential characteristics that play a significant role and in making an organization effective and achieving organizational goals in an optimum manner.
Hierarchy of authority: Which states power rise with every level higher a person or firm is in the regime. If the organization is not Clear with the body and the power he or she then also their rival takes place, and this makes a small organization different from a large organization.
Period of control: The place of work and figure of task, persons, or substance for which a single or firm is in charge of.
Line Authority: Executive with line power is those persons in the firm who are straight in charge of for success firm’s aim. Staff Authority: Staff power belongs to those single or team in a firm who give services and suggestions to line executives.
Decentralization:
The move of power from the center to the local government.
Functional structure: A functional structure is one of the very standard firm construction. Below this structure, the firm team workers, according to a particular or same set of work or duty.
All these characteristics make a large organization different and more durable than a smaller Organization where these characteristics are lacking and where the organization is not using all these points seriously.
