What are the factors influencing the transport and behaviour of wastes in the environment?
The factors which influence the transport and behaviour of waste in the enviornment are
a) Human activities (transport, industry, energy production): so the area where such activities are predominating the transport of wastes becomes easy. The industry effulent easily get disposed in water resources which may travel from one place to other with the flow of water. The aquatic animals and planta also get contaminated by the wastes (fertilizers specially become a part of food chain easily due to transport of waste etc ).
Radiaoactive isotopes also contaminates the land, water, and air.
b) Uncontrolled use of lands: The land if not available for plant cultivation then it highly influence the waste in the enviornment. the plants are responsible for CO2 sequestration naturally which helps in reduction of CO2 concentration in enviornment which is of prime concern for the environmentalists.
c) High poplulation: the increase in population increases all the anthropogenic activity.
d) education: lack of education also increases the pollution. the solid waste increases with less education.
