a. The need for survival and comfort.
b. The need for awareness of an external source of fulfillment.
c. The need for awareness of separateness of self.
d. The need for internalization of a sustained image of love object/person
3. the answer is "d. Trust Vs Mistrust". Although according to the age of the client the stage appropriate would be c.
However, the current situation and their diagnosis reflect the stage of Trust vs Mistrust. This is the first stage and happens between 0 to 18 months, within these months the child learns whether to trust or not to trust the world. If the primary caregivers provide care, support, and protection, they learn to trust the world. However, the absence of same and inconsistent or non-compliance towards their need will lead to the issue with trust and the individual grows up having issues trusting people with whom they are in a relationship with or may have constant worry regarding their trust being broken.
4. The answer is " c. the need for awareness of separateness of self". This is so as in terms of object relations, the child hasn't been able to separate themselves from their mother, therefore it has hampered their development and there are unmet needs.
