First we will have to see what is hypothalamo hypophysial portal system:-

The hypophyseal portal system is a system of blood vessels in the microcirculation at the base of the brain, connecting the hypothalamus with the anterior pituitary. Its main function is to quickly transport and exchange hormones between the hypothalamus arcuate nucleus and anterior pituitary gland.

Now we will see the relationship between reproduction system and hypothalamohypophysial system in both male and female

Male:-

in males gnrh is released from hypothalamus and g o e s to pituitary via hypothalamohypophysial portal system. Where it stimulate the relaese of Ganadotropins called LH and FSH . WHICH further act on ledigh cell and Sertoli cell to produce testosterone and other factors necessary for reproductive system.

in females:-

In females estrogen is produced in place of testosterone . Which carry out all reproductive function.
