The business of Carnival cruise responded well to the corona virus well where it has planned its reoperation post 1st of August, 2020 to avoid the risk of the spread of the virus. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says cruise ship travel “exacerbates the global spread of Covid-19”. The business has responded to it taking care of the travelers as a responsible business to keep them out of harm’s way. The evaluation that can be suggested from this is that:
· The brand of the Carnival Cruise understands the importance of the guest’s safety which in these days of Pandemic has acted responsibly to stop any operations.
· The brand has supported the Government and its policies to make sure that the business is in line with the laid down processes to have its brand reliability up kept.
· The business has taken all precautions in the land as well where the Ships that would be used are been kept sanitized and no one is allowed to enter them without a thorough check for the needed work onboard the ships,
· The business has planned to open the operations from Miami, Texas and Florida post 1st of August to make sure the people from least affected areas are on board after a thorough check and certification of being healthy from the doctors would be given the chance after it restarts.
The recommendations that may be given for the business here would be:
· The CDC “recommends that travelers defer all cruise travel worldwide,” so the operations should be planned with efficient flexibility if the date extends from the government’s side,
· A thorough check of staffs is mandatory where the isolated staff quarters for the one who are tested negative should be arranged for at least a week before they board to make sure the fitness of the staffs,
· The measures to get the ship back to the port is there is a case of Covid19 appears which would mean a separate corner of the boat has to be kept for quarantine if needed be,
· The gears for safety along with test kits on board with the Cruise doctor has to be present at all times post the operation starts.
