If you were a cab driver in New York would you like Uber or Lyft in your city competing with you.
Answer- A cab driver in Nee York would prefer competing with Lyft ratherbthan Uber. Both the companies are popular and the leading cab providers, but the difference lies in their stule of providing such service. At some point Uber wins over Lyft and it’s the opposite in some other cases. But if we look at the aggregate features of both the cab service providers then Uner wins the competition. Following are some of the reasons for prefering Lyft as a competition.
• Uber has a feature in it’s application of spliting or dividing the bill between the passengers travelling but such a feature is not present in Lyft. This makes the Lfyt riders to calculate their respective share themselves and oay accordingly.
• In places where there are more physically disabled people, Uber can easily beat Lyft as Iber has wheelchair services and such a service is not present in Lyft.
• There is a feature in Uber cab service providers where the passengers can walk a certain distance to the cab location and it saves the can driver some fuel, while the passenger can save some money on the drive as the fare comes out to be less. While such a feature is not present in Lyft.
• Another feature of uber that Lyft doesn't have is giving loyalty awards like Uber.
Considering the above points it can be seen that competing with Lyft is much more simpler than competing with Uber as Uber has better features which attracts more customers and thus has a competitive edge.
