Corporate Governance Analysis:

At Walmart, the Board comprises five primary standing committees, including the Nominating and Governance Committee, which reviews and advises management on Walmart’s ESG initiatives. In FY2019, the Nominating and Governance Committee met five times. Hence, we can say that there is a clear separation between the owners and management of the Company.

Also, the ESG Team, which directly reports to the CSO, connects with the owners through formal reviews of ESG priorities periodically to stay abreast of ESG issues, challenges and opportunities. Walmart engages with shareholders through :
