Evaluation is a process that critically examines a program. It involves collecting and analyzing information about a program’s activities, characteristics, and outcomes. Its purpose is to make judgments about a program, to improve its effectiveness. evaluating the program is important because it helps to

I evaluated the nursing staff perfornance in the clinical settings.for that i have given knowledge regarding the post cath care of patient after angioplasty. That means care of site after angioplasty to prevent bleeding or hematoma. For evaluating the effectiveness of my programme i observed the staffs and how they are giving care to people. Here i used qualitative techniques of evaluation. In that observation, anecdotal record.
I have given a post cath patient to the staff. Then i evaluate her by observation, how she caring the patient, Positive evaluations occur when the patient meets desired outcomes, which leads you to conclude that the nursing interventions were effective.i evaluated the patient angioplasty site, it is looks normal no oozing or hematoma. It means her intervention is effective. If the site showed any signs like swelling or hematoma or bleeding it indicates that she has incomplete knowledge on intervention to meet the desired outcome. Here i concluded that my teaching program was effective and also the patient meet the desired outcome. The procedure site was clear, no oozing or hematoma. The patient doesn't have any signs of hematoma or infection. Patient is also feeling comfortable.
For evaluating full coverage program When a program is targeted to be delivered or intended to be delivered to an entirepopulation, this is known a full coverage program. The other side of a full coverage program is apartial coverage program which are made to be distributed to portions of a population. “Acrossthe public health pyramid, both partial – and full – coverage programs reflect whether theprogram is designed primarily to make changes at the individual, aggregate, or population For full coverage programs the best evaluation design that could be used is observationalevaluations. Observational evaluations could help take an entire population and use theinformation found to put them into smaller groups to help gather more detailed information. Oneof the tools that can be used to help with observational evaluation is a decision tree. A decisiontree is a flow diagram that of key questions that need to be asked.
For partial coverage programs Experiments are the strongest designs for assessing impact, because through random sampling from the population of interest and random assignment to treatment and control groups, experiments rule out other factors besides the program that might explain program success.
