give an example of a population of gang violence. Which sampling method would be the best to use in order to obtain a sample from the population of gangs

Solutions

Expert Solution

Answer- A gang is reffered to a group of people who claim their control over a territory and conduct illegal activities to make money from innocent people. These gangs are originated on the basis of race, religion, territory, ethnicity and are generally made up by the members of 8 to 22 years. These gangs are involved in illegal activities like theft, rapes, murder and other dangerous crimes. For example, when a fifteen year old girl is sorrounded by a group of 10-12 girls who push her, harass her, punch her, kick her badly and steal her money is the example of gang violence. In today's society, it is so common that girls are also becoming a part of it.

The best sampling method in order to obtain a sample from the population of gangs is the Judgement or Purposive sample where a group represent the whole population. These samples are very helpful to study a group that is shattered and difficult to identify.
