There are 4 big houses in my home town. They are made from these materials: red marbles, green marbles, white marbles and blue marbles. We know the following facts:
Who lives where, and what is their house made from?
For getting the results, a table is needed to be made & the
clues are to be used in any order. So the results are:
1) The third house in the row is made up of white marble i.e.
Name | ||||
Type of marble | White |
2) Mrs Jennifer's house is somewhere to the left of the green marbles one. Since there's only one place in the table from where a left block is empty, we get :
Name | Mrs Jennifer | |||
Type of marble | Green | White |
3) The first house is not made from red marbles & thus, the first house is made up of blue marble.
Name | Mrs Jennifer | |||
Type of marble | Blue | Green | White | Red |
4) Mr Cruz does not live at either end, but somewhere to the right of the blue marbles house i.e.
Name | Mrs Jennifer | Mr Cruz | ||
Type of marble | Blue | Green | White | Red |
5) Mrs Sharon owns a red marbles house & thus, Mr Danny lives in the house made up of white marble.
Name | Mrs Jennifer | Mr Cruz | Mr Danny | Mrs Sharon |
Type of marble | Blue | Green | White | Red |
Thus, this is the correct match of the person with their
respective house type.
( You might get confused by the line "Mr Danny lives in the fourth
house" i.e. lives in the house that is located at the end. But
actually this line just tells us that he lives in the house of the
fourth type & not in the fourth position. )
Hope this answers your query!
