ONLY NEED HELP WITH QUESTIONS 2-5
Question 2: If the products test OK, what should happen next? Do not indicate accept or reject either hypotheses. Instead, indicate what should happen to the product.
Answer: Conclude that all the products in the batch of 1000 items are of OK quality.
Question 3: The sample products all failed the quality test. However, John later found that the equipment was faulty and all the products should have passed. What type of error is this?
Answer: Type 1 error because the products were good but they were rejected.
Question 4: The sample products all pass the quality test. However, John took some short cuts in testing and all the products should have failed the quality testing. What type of error is this?
Answer: Type 2 error because products were not good but they were not rejected.
Question 5: As the owner of the factory in which John works, which would you rather have happened, the results from Question 3 or the results from Question 4? Please explain your answer
Answer: I would prefer that Type 2 error happen because in that case, the claim would not be true hence a lot of all products will pass the quality test.
