Chapter 2 Learning Process
what limitations are faced when attempting to learn to play a game by observation only?
When learning a game only by observation, a person would learn only by visualisation of practice that another person has carried out. The beginner can learn the information that they do not posses, at the start of a skill. As a result, the learn details of techniques that the experienced has mastered. Though, this leaning method is contextual. What the practitioner watches, is part of skills that have already been mastered by the experienced player. Though, these are only small variants of skills. Since, when carrying out a particular game, they would only display a limited number of moves. The thought that a person has while displaying a move may be significantly different from the way the person watching might perceive. If a person does not have previous knowledge or it’s context, learning by watching will not be a continuous process.
