Drag Coefficient and Effect of Angle of Attack on sphere
Please in computer not hand writing
When a body is either unsymmetrical or has its axis not aligned with the flow direction, both the pressure and shear forces manifest. Their combined effect yields a resultant force F which can be resolved into lift and drag.
Drag force is defined by :-
Where CD is Drag Coefficient
All the information regarding shape of object and air is consider in drag coefficient
A given rigid body subjected to aerodynamic analysis can be characterized by its shape size and orientation relative to free stream velocity. The orientation is refered to as angle of attack
Sphere has symmetry along all the three axis therefore the angle of attack never varies. Infact the angle of attack for the sphere is always zero.
