how does this relate to the requirement of independence in a binomial experiment?
how do you write a probability in english?
The
requirements needed to be a binomial distribution:
The number of observations 'n' is fixed , but Each observation is independent , Each observation represents one of two outcomes ("success" or "failure") , The probability of 'success' p is the same for each outcome.
Criteria for a Binomial Probability Experiment:
Each trial is independent of the others. There are only two outcomes. The probability of each outcome remains constant from trial to trial.
Each trial has just two possible outcomes - heads or tails. The probability of success is constant - 0.5 on every trial. The trials are independent; that is, getting heads on one trial does not affect whether we get heads on other trials.
probability is variable noun
The probability of something happening is how likely it is to happen, sometimes expressed as a fraction or a percentage.
The quality or state of being probable; the extent to which something is likely to happen.
