There are several benefits of using interests to reach an integrative solution to a conflict; these benefits are as stated below:

  • We could bring win-win situation, as conflict is applicable in any work or environment, here, we could bring integrative solution or collaborating, so both parties interest get fulfilled, usually conflicts come, when, people see their needs, concerns, desires are not met, so, we should understand the views of people and bring collaborative approach, we should also do discussion critically to solve the current issues. We should resolve the issues or conflicts by keeping both parties needs in the winning side. Here, we will propose some ways that could solve the concern of both parties. Hence, interests of parties are main consideration here.
  • It could create trade off or more buy in as we have considered interest of both parties.
  • It brings positive relationship and constructive relationships between two parties.
  • Finally organization could achieve their sustainability and organizational purpose gets fulfilled more precisely with such approach.
  • The real problem gets eliminated as we look towards root causes and we take actions understanding the root causes behind the conflict.

Hence, Management could define the work objective/performance objective of each task and they could provide incentives to the employees based on fulfilling such performance objective. Here, employees could put more attention in fulfilling the tasks requirements.
