You are the manager of Strategic Sourcing at Toyota Motor Corp and have just been called by the VP of global sourcing to whom you report. There has been a problem with the least 8 vehicles exhibiting sticking accelarator pedals and your boss is upset. Strong Evidence points to a problem with CTS, an electronic supplier, which has been recognized for high quality standards by the Toyota. You have asked to provide your boss with the following
a) Identify the exact sequence of steps - a project plan - on how to handle this problem, from dealing with customers to identifying causes. Explain what should be done and why ?

The first approach is to contact the customers who have the complaint about the sticking accelerator pedals in the eight vehicles. The full support is required to be provided to them and it is very necessary to provide them with 100% assurance to resolve the issue as early as possible without any extra cost. The customers are required to be acknowledged with the utmost support so that they keep an esteemed trust in Toyota Motor Corporation, as in this situation a small mistake may change the entire situation.
All the defective vehicles with sticking accelerator pedals are required to be checked by the quality team who has passed the product in the market while quality checking. On basis of the report generated by the quality analyzing experts, the necessary steps are required to be taken.
If the fault persists then the vehicles with the problems of sticking accelerator pedals are required to be sent to the manufacturing department with the highest priority of fastest delivery as any delay may bring problem for client’s satisfaction. Therefore, after clearing of the problems the vehicles are required to handover to the customers with a simple test drive in order to assure the best service provided to them and it is also mandatory to take each customer feedbacks in order to know their satisfactory level.
These factors are highly required to be done to provide the best services to the customers after the product is bought from the market so to keep the reputation of such a big brand, the above factors are mandatory for maintaining the trust of customers by assuring them with anything and anytime with any problem occurs from the company products.
