1.
A scatter plot is a type of plot which uses Cartesian coordinates to display values usually two variables for particular set of data. Scatter plots shows how much one variable is affected by another variable.
WHEN TO USE:-
a. In case of paired numerical data.
b. When dependent variable have multiple values for each value of independent variable.
c. To determine whether the two variables are related
Steps to make:-
a Choose your independent and dependent variables.
b. Draw an x-axis for the independent variable
c. Add a y-axis for the dependent variable.
d. Choose a range that includes the maximums and minimums from the given data.
d. Mark each data point on your scatter plot.
e. Label your graph and your axes.
2. Why do researchers prefer not to use pictorial graphs and pie charts
Since many different formats can be used to create charts and graphs that make it difficult to choose the correct one to use effectively. Also A pie chart is less effective if it uses too many pieces of data. To Compare data slices in a circle creates problem for reader to factor in angles and compare non-adjacent slices.
Disadvantages:-
