Briefly discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the military draft.

Advantages of Military draft -

1) It is a fair method to need service from public - With military draft , it is a fair approach to need services from public in military.It makes it easier for the country people to see each other his fellow man.

2) The Military draft help to show the solemnity of commitments of the country.It makes reaffirmation of commitments easier on international stage.

3) It attracts people to do activities for public welfare .It may require the person to make sacrifices in his life to achieve the goal for the country.

4) It creates a sense of common identity.

5)It helps the government to fulfill some domestic needs.

Disadvantages of military draft -

1) Personal freedom of a person is removed -It means that the liberty or freedom of the person is on hold to provide protection to freedom of other persons.

2) Military draft ask the people to risk their own lives for the cause of government. If people refuse to serve they are punishment.

3) It may compromise with the present military status- The complusion to provide military services , may include those persons also who don't want to participate or become soldiers but th are forced to do so.This may lead to not properly trained persons , which will effect the army forces's status.

4) It may cause unfair or unequal representation of draft

5) It may cause public bitterness for the services.
