In argumentative writing, the writer strives to get across a specific perspective and hopefully convince readers to agree with that viewpoint. What type of evidence do you feel will best convince readers to agree with the stance you have taken on your topic?

The type of evidence that can best convince the readers to agree with the stance taken on the topic of argumentative writing are the ones acceptable to maximum audience and it may include facts, statistical data and testimonies. Facts would help to convince the readers because facts consist of the reality and the readers would have to agree with the facts without giving a second thought. Statistics also would help in convincing the reader as statistics also shows facts that are expressed in a numerical way and are collected through methods acceptable to everyone. The testimony of an eyewitness as well as that of an expert who has deep knowledge on the topic also would support argumentative writing. An eyewitness would be able to provide more information than anyone else and the information provided by an eye witness would not be disputed by anyone. The expert testimony also would be accepted by everyone as the expert speaks interpreting the facts.
