Marketing Information System brings together the separate data into a single database. It helps the marketers to assess the data at once. It also helps them to develop a marketing strategy to attract the target audience. It converts the raw data into useful and productive decisions. It is a continuous process that includes the resources and people to get a 360-degree view of the organization. The system helps the companies make appropriate decisions for the marketing strategies to increase the company's sales and customer base. The company might fail at making appropriate decisions without complete information. However, with the help of the information system, the managers can decide that it will benefit society and the enterprise. Systems like MIS have great importance in the company because they act as a helping hand for the management. The system has four parts: internal reporting system, marketing research system, marketing intelligence system, and marketing models. The whole system lets the company's employees know about the scalar chain, and the authority- responsibility relationship. For example, Apple has a system that helps to make its marketing decisions. It takes the most appropriate data, decides the target audience, and the ways to position the product in the consumers' minds. The second example is Starbucks. It uses the system to get to know the taste bud of the consumers. It also helps the managers to make the changes accordingly. The system increases the sales of coffee and allied products, and also improves the customer loyalty. In both examples, the managers play an essential role in adhering to the ethics because the company should simultaneously take care of society using sustainable development methods. Hence, it helps the company to focus on the customer base as well as societal obligations.
