Investigate programs in your area for drug-addicted individuals. This may include prescription drug abuse, illegal drug abuse, and alcoholism. Speak to someone who works with these individuals. Write a short report on who the individuals affected are, what special needs they have due to their addiction, what resources are available.

The affected individuals are minors or juveniles between ages 13 and 17. They are not adults but have access to drugs in school. They are used to using drugs on a regular basis.

1- These individuals need a program that will help them to decrease dependency on substances where a professional works with them on a regular basis to do the same.

2- They will also need to have academic support so they do not lose out on school work and are still able to go to a decent college.

3- They will also benefit from joining a support group where they can work on self esteem, self image and other issues.

4- They need to have a good role model or mentor who can give them positive advise and encourage them to become drug free.

Drug tolerance develops when an individual takes a drug for so long that the same dose does not affect him. His body develops a tolerance to it and therefore there are no changes when he takes the same amount. If he increases the quantity or strength then it can affect him.

Drug addiction is a psychological disorder that creates a dependency on a certain kind of illicit substance. This dependency leads to use of the substance on a regualr basis and the individual finds it difficult to stop using it. People can be addicted to various substances like alcohol, drugs, thinner, food etc.
