1. Multiculturalism - Today's businesses are employing resources from various nations, cultures and backgrounds by recruiting purley based on skills rather than discriminating on any cultural or ethnic grounds. With the policy of Equal Employment Opportunities for all, firms have been increasingly recruiting diverse employees. These employees work together in diverse settings in the organization and hence it is important for the HR policies to be equally favoring all the employees and providing them the work environment to develop.
2. Ethics - Businesses aim to earn profits through selling products or services. In this process, they face multiple situations where they need to take responsible decisions considering all the stakeholders. This is when business ethics comes into picture. HR function acts as the controller of ethical policies and principles to ensure all the employees and mangement strictly adhere to ethical practices in the workplace.
3. Management metrics - Metrics are quantifiable measures used to track the performance of something. Management metrics measure the effectiveness of the management decisions and how well the employees agree to the metrics while ensuring that the management continuously comes up with better metrics to measure overall performance of the organization or teams.
