I'm looking for ideas to preform full factorial (2^2 or 2^3) experiment
I want a real-world applications please.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Suppose there are two treatments for diabetes patient in a hospital namely X and Y.

Let both have two levels of dosage as low and high.

Hence we are interested in finding whether the change in the dosage level of a treatment independently affects the diabetes level differently or not, that is, is the treatment significantly affecting the patient and is there any interaction between the two treatments.

As we will get 4 different dosages as :

Low X and low Y

Low X and high Y

High X adn low Y

High X and high Y

This is 2^2 factorial design.

Similarly if there are 3 treatments under study as X, Y and Z then it will become 2^3 factorial design.

And here we will check effect of different dosage level of each treatment that is whether a treatment is significantly affecting the patient or not.

We will also check interaction between X,Y and Y, Z and X, Z and lastly X, Y, Z.

I'm fresh out of ideas and I need a real world example of the following: Discuss a sampling distribution by describing 1. a population, 2. a variable on the individuals in that population, 3. a standard deviation for that variable, 4. the size of a sample from that population. Compare the 5. center, 6. variability, and 7. shape of the sampling distribution of the mean of that sample with that of the population distribution. What does the sampling distribution tell...

In looking at Real World Fiscal Policy, one might want to consider the timing, or lag, or speed at which a policy can go into effect. How do the Tax cuts of 2001,2003, and the 2020 policies stack up when looking at timing issues?

A 2^3 full factorial screening experimental design was performed to identify the important factors affecting the percent conversion in a chemical process. Two factors, temperature in C (x1) and reactant concentration (x2) were identified as the key process input variables and the method of steepest ascent was applied to identify the maximum percent conversion area. Create and analyze a central composite design using the data in the following table (in standard run order). Test the residuals assumption and comment on...
